Canine Nutrition
Nutrition plays a major role in your dog’s physical health, behaviour, energy levels, and long-term well-being. As a certified canine nutritionist through the Feed Real Institute, I provide practical, individualized guidance to help you make informed feeding choices that support your dog’s body and mind. My recommendations generally emphasize minimally processed, fresh food options, including balanced raw or home-cooked diets, while also helping clients improve kibble-based feeding when needed. Whether you want to fully transition to fresh food, add fresh foods to your dog’s current diet, or create a balanced homemade meal plan, I tailor recommendations to your dog’s age, lifestyle, body condition, health history, and behavioural goals.
During the consultation, we will assess your dog’s current diet, discuss health concerns or goals, and review realistic feeding options that fit your budget and routine. Nutrition may also support dogs struggling with chronic skin or digestive issues, as gut health and the microbiome can influence inflammation, immune function, and skin health. My role is not to diagnose or treat medical conditions, but to help you make informed feeding choices that support overall health alongside veterinary care. This may include guidance on premade raw or cooked diets, training treats, whole food additions, food rotation, supplementation, calorie intake, weight management, and how nutrition can influence issues such as skin health, digestive function, inflammation, and behaviour.
If you are preparing food at home, I will help ensure that your dog’s diet is balanced over time and meets their nutritional needs safely and effectively. Follow-up consultations are available for recipe adjustments, troubleshooting, supplement support, and cost-efficiency planning as your dog’s needs change. Prices exclude tax.
